Nice collection, Nestor. If you shoot RAW bursts at Candaba, you need a lot of CF cards and batteries.... ;D

Bit of a long look but the excitement during the takes should be similar as when it is quite near. gil

Still a good bounty. Where did you shoot that immature Black-headed Ibis? That was taken in Nigeria Ding, about 2-3 meters lang layo, using my EF 70-300mm IS USM.

Not Black-headed Ibis by the way. Subadult Threskiornis a. aethiopicus (Sacred Ibis).

Out of CF out of power No GC and ESB :-/I went home with a bleeding heart Nice take home for the day Nestor!! Yes, you have to be really armed for a war when you are in Candaba!! It happened to me also so I can relate to the feeling . Now I carry 3 x 2GB, 1 x 8GB CF; 2 fully charged spare batteries all the time. ;D But these are all useless right now. Cheers, Neon

What a fruitful day for you Nestor !!! So many nice captures Lesson learned na ba Nestor ? Whenever you are planning a sortie going to Candaba... a). Bring all the CF cards that you can bring (you really have to buy more than 3 ;D ). b). You have to bring your extra batteries c). Be ready to capture a wide variety of birds HEhHEhEHehEHeHe ;D Neon, don't worry too much kasi the birds are still scared of people. They fly as soon as they see you. The ducks are scared pa nga of the farmers eh. You will surely have a blast when you are back here in Manila. A little over a week to go right ? Yippppppppppppppeeeee for you !

Thanks on all the tips Tina and Neon. By the way Neon, on your way home from overseas check your flight landing approach, if it is via the Lingayen gulf area he....he...suot ka na ng parachute then you can go straight to Candaba (sanay ka naman diyan "Sea Survival Course )
