Sharing some Terns in flight. Few shots left after throwing a lot to the Recycle Bin. Just want to share for me to improve. Also wished it to be a bit sharper. 500mm + 1.7 TC, f6.7, 1/1600 sec, -0.3 EV, Tripod and no flash. 500mm + 1.7 TC, f6.7, 1/1600 sec, -0.3 EV, Tripod and no flash.

Hi Rey, what ISO's on these? Also, did you do any NR? Coz that will make it a little softer. Moreover, what spanking 600mm are you using?
Take care.

Ted, I'm using 500mm coupled with 1.7 TC. No NR was applied as I used ISO 400 only. Yes, it may be a bit soft due to the 1.7 TC.

Aaaahhh, it must be the lack of sleep. Where did I get that 600mm thing? And I could have seen the ISO 400 from the exif. Hello? Ok. I'm assuming its a 500/4 ? With the TC1.7, it's 6.7 wide open. You might need to stop down a bit with that TC, up to 1 stop, like 9 or 9.5. Give it a try next time. Disclaimer: I've never used a glass bigger than 300mm, so take that advise with a grain scoop of salt.

These are good BIF shots, Rey. The bokeh is very good. Definitely keeper shots.
