I have lots of free time waiting on flights and I'm not the kind that will just let it pass. With an itchy trigger finger I headed to my favorite waste water holding pond in Perth. I'll start off with a question? What mother water bird could love this pullus?

I'll go with a Common Moorhen too based on the bill.

He he he..probably if I don't have the photo of the the mother bird you won't believe me if I say it is the pullus of this bird. I would have guessed a moorhen as well ;D Coot ( Fulica atra australis)

Ah, close! ;D
This Aussie variety looks harder to capture than it's American cousin. Nice one Neon.

Here are some of the Singapore captures, I think I got documentary shots of at least 10 species . After the plane landed at 06:45, went straight for the MRT and headed to the Chinese and Japanese Gardens, I spent approximately 2 hours walking around, or maybe 3, got carried away and time just flew. Here's my take on the famous CKF 40D + 300 mm f4 IS + 1.4x Kenko TC, f5.6, 1/400 sec, ISO 400, Handheld, RAW capture White Vented Myna 40D + 300 mm f4 IS + 1.4x Kenko TC, f8, 1/400 sec, ISO 400, Handheld, RAW capture Cattle Egret 40D + 300 mm f4 IS + 1.4x Kenko TC, f8, 1/400 sec, ISO 400, Handheld, RAW capture Pink-necked Pigeon - Male 40D + 300 mm f4 IS + 1.4x Kenko TC, f5.6, 1/250 sec, ISO 400, Handheld, RAW capture Oriental Magpie Robin 40D + 300 mm f4 IS + 1.4x Kenko TC, f5.6, 1/320 sec, ISO 1600, Handheld, RAW capture And a woodpecker smaller than the Philippine but have almost the same look. Any guess on the correct ID, Singapore based guys? 40D + 300 mm f4 IS + 1.4x Kenko TC, f5.6, 1/125 sec, ISO 400, Handheld, RAW capture Just too tired to process anymore, just been to a sortie around 100km from my house ;D with the traffic and all Now, when do I PP the shots I got from today? In my dreams..hehehe
