Hey all, Didn't really get out much in the past week but did manage to fit in a few sorties. With some rain the birds have started to return to the woodlands where there's been plenty of food and water. Here's a few of the keepers: Sulphur Crested Cockatoo 1/80, f7.1, ISO400, 50D, 300 f2.8 + 2x White Bellied Cuckoo Shrike 1/1600, f7.1, ISO400, 50D, 300 f2.8 + 2x Red Tailed Black Cockatoo 1/400, f8, ISO400, 50D, 600 f4 + 1.4x Sulphur Crested Cockatoo 1/125, f10, ISO400, 50D, 600 f4 + 1.4x Red Winged Parrot 1/60, f13, ISO400, 50D, 600 f4 + 1.4x Red Winged Parrot 1/80, f13, ISO400, 50D, 600 f4 + 1.4x Thanks for looking, William

Excellent harvest, William! All worthy to be printed and framed. The Black Cockatoo which looks like it is wearing an evening gown is really impressive.

Cheers guys, the cockie shots are definitely my favourites - The black cockatoos are particularly skittish, you'd be lucky to get within 15m of them!

Amazing birds very well captured, Will.... the RWP's wings is so vivid that sRGB has some trouble containing the color in its narrow gamut!

Thanks Romy, yes you are right, the reds are so vivid! When I went to post process it I noticed exactly what you mentioned, I had to really watch the red

These are all superb catures mate! liked the cockie portrait as well. Really missed passing through Darwin.
