Wonderful captures Neon. The birds in Australia look really interesting. Were those taken at parks only or did you have to go to the mountains to take photos of them ?

Finally got paroled!!! yes, I'm in Manila na!! ;D The pictures were taken just around the airport, instead of sitting and waiting for my flight I went outside and had a stroll in the forest reserve nearby. he he he.. Here is a Full frame Pacific Black Duck ( Anas superciliosa) taken just when the sun came out. Hope I can do the same and get this close with the Philippine Ducks. 40D + 300mm f4 L IS + 1.4x Kenko TC (420mm), f5.6, 1/500 sec, ISO 200, Hand held, manual exposure, RAW capture Cheers,

Got stuck in Changi Airport on my way back, what more better thing to do to kill the time, but to PP my OZ bird shots!! here's the first one don't know the ID yet as I don't have my OZ bird book right now. Hi Neon!
We normally call the `magpie- lark' by its common name `Pee-wee'. Thats what most Aussies would call them. Your pic is of a male Pee-Wee. The females have a white face.
You were lucky to find the bush stone curlew at the airport! They so often have their nest destroyed by dogs, and are shy:)
