All excellent shots for me Ray - what a thrill it must have been to take photos of these falcons. I agree, Maria is truly a beautiful child. She is growing up so fast !!!! Thanks Ray for sharing all these photos... looking forward to your next batch of photos already

thanks so much for the nice comments! Great set, Ray.... how's the D300's AF compared to the D200's? Love the candid shot of Maria! Thanks Romy, the D300's AF is at least 2 times better then the D200, all around an awesome camera. I am considering getting some Canon gear, probably used, as workshop customers seem to go to people that use the same equipment., probably a 40D and 300 f2.8, or 600 F4 IS, we will see. I am working on a Philippine workshop, as soon as I have enough customers, we will be hiking around the globe to see you.,.. can't wait! take care

Very beautiful captures. Just curious, were these falcons breed and released into the wild? I see something that looks like black and yellow tags on the feet of the falcon in the first image.

Hi Mark.. whenm the birds are still nestling's there is a crew of bird experts who invade the nest, and band the legs of the young birds., they are completely wild.
