a common sight here taken nov 13, 2006 at Dee Why Beach in Sydney's Northern Beaches Camera D80 135mm f/5.6 (i think) Silver Gull Size: 40cm Habitat: Found at coastal and inland waterways Australia wide. Frequently found on beaches and around parks scavenging for food scaps offered by humans. Notes: Head and body white, wings grey, leg and beak red. Breeds Spring.sorry for the overexposure. ;D BIF with a cousin (ID?)

With my uncalibrated monitor, they look like overexposed a bit. Stepping down a stop, and bringing the shadows back in post will render these birds nicely. Not sure if there's blown highlights though.
Keep those images coming, would like to see exotic birds from the other side of the world from me.

yeah, they really are a bit OE.. ;D i was just getting used to my D80 when i took those shots more than 2 years ago. now i know how to control the highlights as i shoot.
