Today was too overcast to play outside. So I decided to do some PP'ng. If it's bigger than the usual sparrows, about 7", then it's a Fox Sparrow indeed (Passerella Iliaca).

Great timing on this one - Ted!! Liked it when you catch the birds when they are in the middle of a call, wish we could hear the bird's songs as well. With a D90 you would be able to capture the sounds as well ;D

WOW!! I knew it!! from the looks alone of how this bird pose you know it emits one melodious sound!! I was not mistaken ;D Thanks for the sound file - Ted ;D This song you can play over and over and you won't get tired of it. ;D

Nice shots of a beautiful bird, Jun! thanks. I believe April pointed out awhile back about the lack of variety of birds in our area. Having said that, I'm glad to hear you guys like what we have ot offer.
