The 50D got a workout with the 300 2.8's big brother, the 600 f4 IS + 1.4x... I was pretty happy to get close to the Red-tailed Black Cockatoo (normally very skittish and difficult to photograph). Here's a few from the outing... Black Cockatoo - ISO400, 1/500, f8 Black Cockatoo - ISO640, 1/400, f7.1 Black Cockatoo - ISO640, 1/500, f7.1 Though not a bird, here's a "Macro" of a dragonfly 1/200, ISO400, f9 Cheers William

William, that's a very handsome cockatoo. Great capture.
50D+600/4+TC+William = hard to beat at the moment ;D

Hi Ted, Yes the dragonfly was at about 5.5m away, for "Macros" the magnification and IQ is beyond my expectations

The 50D matches very well with your 300 f/2.8 lens. Great set!
