Hey all, I went with a friend to a nature reserve yesterday and was excited about our chances of capturing some very shy and hard to find species. As our luck had it we found some Rainbow Pitta lifers but were confronted with very low light as a storm was passing over. Rainbow Pitta info here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rainbow_Pitta. The keeper rate was pretty low but we managed to bag a few: Rainbow Pitta - Pitta iris1DM3, 100-400L, 1.5x TC, f5.6, ISO800, 1 sec, MF via Liveview, Tripod. Rainbow Pitta - Pitta iris1DM3, 100-400L, 1.5x TC, f5.6, ISO800, 1 sec, MF via Liveview, Tripod. Saw this beauty shortly afterwards when the rain commenced: Forest Kingfisher 1DM3, 100-400L, 1.5x TC, f9 ISO800, 1/30, MF via Liveview, Tripod. Thanks for looking, William

Amazing capture of a pitta image in 1 sec! The bird paused for a pose. ;D
Good job William.
