Hey guys, Kee29 and I did a quick sortie to a local nature park after work and we were rewarded with captures of the often shy Red winged Parrot. Here's a few from the series of shots I took: Male Red Winged Parrot 1/200, f8, ISO400, 1DM3, 600 + 2x TC Male Red Winged Parrot 1/500, f9, ISO400, 1DM3, 600 + 2x TC Female Red Winged Parrot 1/500, f9, ISO400, 1DM3, 600 + 2x TC Male Red Winged Parrot 1/125, f8, ISO400, 1DM3, 600 + 2x TC Thanks for looking, William

Had to wait until they got lower as I didn't have the reach of the FIELD GUN Anyway here how mine turned out. ISO 320, 1/60, F16, 30D, 300+1.4X TC ISO 320, 1/50, F10, 30D, 300+1.4X TC

Superb job on this amazingly pretty bird, Will..... number 1 is over the top! Great shots too Kee.... tough to shoot pistols when the guy beside you is firing a howitzer, eh?

Thanks guys @ Romy - Thanks! their colour is amazing, the green and reds are so bright they pop out of the follage... it's like someone painted them flouro!

Wow! Those colors stab at my pupils!
At first, I thought you'd overdone saturation but, looking at the leaves' natural color, I can see the plumage is really that intense. You guys must've had a great day shooting.
