pardon the title... just couldn't help it..... hehe! ;D was able to do some birding with JP and doc chito yesterday at UP. the rains did come unfortunately while chimping this morning over yesterday's measly catch... i noticed this RKF having four white spots on its forehead. didn't see this in KG. nikon d200 + nikkor 500/f8 aperture priority sorry not as sharp and neatly focused even with the tripod

Haven't caught a RKF at UP-Diliman yet..... good catch, Manny. The white spots could be reflections off the shiny part of the head?

I'm obviously an improvement of our race (my granny's genes), as my top is not as shiny as my grandpa:

sir manny, i have been stalking this bird since prof jerry mentioned it. and just when i was out of UP birding, it decided to show itself. hayyyy. hope i get to catch it within the week. this talk about shiny head and red bellies really cracked me up. hahahaha. nice portraits sir romy.

hahaha!!! now that gave me a good laugh. the white streaks show off in most of the pics i got off this RKF. jp, glad to see you got an angled shot too showing it.
