Together with Doc Mando and Bong, we caught this dove in front of the Vargas Museum last Saturday. Not too sure on the ID though. Emerald Dove (Chalcophaps indica) UP Diliman, September 6, 2008 Close-Up Image 1DM2, f8.0, 1/25sec, 1.4X TC, ISO400, Manual Exposure, Handheld

I think so too except for the whitish grayish head which is a description of the Black Chinned though the black chin is not there. So I was thinking maybe a female but I think you're right Idol Tins, that it's an Emerald. Thanks for the ID.

Wooohoo nice catch...the bird must have seen the exhibit and wanted it's photo included. I still haven't got a good photo of this bird!! and it was just on a tree beside Vargas Museum!!
Agree with Tina - Emerald Dove (Chalcophaps indica)

I also agree with the Mastah that it is a male Emerald Dove.
