Panasonic Lumix FZ30 hand held Irawan, Puerto Princesa, Palawan I was browsing through my butterfly photos and this one looked different. Just sharing. I remember that this bird was walking up and down the trunk so close and so easy to shoot. My cam was too noisy.

nice ate lyds. i think the luzon race can be distinguished from the palawan from the color of the bill

Beautiful bird ate lyds. Your right JP, the Luzon variety has a different colored bill and also appeared darker in color of the body, here is a pic (low res) I a got from Makiling during my earlier days of the bird photography running down a thrunk. Chito

Thank you guys. I actually have a lot of shots of this nut which appearance was so unexpected and so close- and there I was rattled with a toy in hand . He, he. September JP - in Irawan. There are 15 streams/rivers to cross.
