Thank you fellows for the very warm welcome! I think i've finally found my niche in photography after all these years. The Wild Bird Club of the Phillipines introduced me to bird watching many years ago while doing a show called "Explorer"... ever since then, i really fell in love with birds, and the experience brought me back to still photography... my most beloved hobby and interest since birth,.. that i dropped and shelved for over 10 years or so... (because shooting film became too expensive and tedious).. then came digital!
i love shooting butterflies too, Lydia! I want to learn more from the group!
Thanks PBP!

Your right about the Green Imperial Pigeon! ---CSMallari... i actually just guessed it, hehe... not too familiar with many species yet. Shot it in Sabang Puerto Pricesa a few months ago while on a filming job. Im sure a lot of my photos are not labeled correctly... Pls correct me guys.. i even have some bird shots with no picture references from the book of Philippine Birds ... still have to research some more...hmmm... anyway, i'll try to upload pics and maybe you guys can name them for me... thanks again everyone!

Welcome on board JV!! You have quite a good collection of bird photos at your multiply site. Noticed a photo that I think is labeled incorrectly. RICHARDS PIPIT is a Striated Grassbird Cheers, Neon

Thanks Neon, corrected it already... appreciate you kind words. Will be posting more bird photos at my multiply site soon, just havent found time to do so. There's this other green colored bird, that's sized like a typical bulbul that i shot in Palawan. Couldnt find it in the book of Philippine birds. Im sure u guys can recognize it for me as soon as i post it.
Many thanks Neon!

Hello JV,
Welcome to the forum. Nice photos you have there. The green bird could be a Yellow-Throated Leafbird if taken in Palawan. We'll wait for your post.
