Thanks for the pictures, Mastah Romy. It was nice to meet you all, guys. This idea just came into my mind after the meeting. What do you think about setting up a website for the event? The website can contain the images posted in the gallery, photographer info, pictures of the exhibit itself (updated as it progresses), and more. This can cater to our audiences who cannot visit the exhibit's venue -- probably those from Visayas or Mindanao or even from overseas. We can host it here in the forum itself or in some other hosting site. Although website design is not my forte, I can handle the technicals. If there is spare funding we can hire a web designer, otherwise I'll just look for free site hosting that offers good page templates. What do you think guys? Nice to meet you and your friend, Mark..... interesting idea, let's wait for others' feedback.

But if you guys can solicit a service of a web developer, I can offer a space on my web hosting. I have lots of unused space and bandwidth. I'm also willing to pay for the domain name, for a year. If there's a consensus to go that way, let me know.

I just got to read about this meeting now. I don't have much photos to share but I'd surely like to help in any way I can.
Too bad I missed a chance to meet you guys. Anyway, I hope I can still help out in this endeavour. Please let me know how. Thanks.

He, he Ding. You were missed last night. There was no bursting dam, where were you? I hope you do not miss the big event after the opening of the exhibit -- all the PBP members present will be posing by the oblation- birding buddies- birdie to birdie. Oooops Make sure you submit the Scops owl and others from Flor's Farm. We will be soliciting funds from her family--- 4 generations of UP Centennial Awardees. That Scops-owl's my personal best. But what did the group agree on? Will the photos be just of birds from UP Diliman, all UPs (LB, Baguio...), or anywhere in the Phils? Darn. Wish I made it to the meeting. Now, didn't that meeting feel strange that there was no mud around?

Second meeting for the U.P. Vargas Museum "Bird Season" exhibit is at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9 at Seattle's Best, Ft. Bonifacio High Street. We need to talk about:
What to do if there are more than 100 bird photographs submitted, Final tally of the photographs to be exhibited, and, Reimbursement of expenses for printing and framing (The expected sponsorship has not materialized so I am advancing some of the funds myself).
The U.P. Vargas Museum is asking for the low resolution copies of the photographs to be exhbited as soon as possible; actually, the deadline is today. Please send me at propjerry@yahoo.com the low resolution copies of the photographs you are submitting, TONIGHT IF POSSIBLE. The curator, Prof. Butch Herrera needs these to be able to design the presentation.
