Thanks, Martin! Unfortunately these were all we've got that were good enough to post. Rainy weather prevented us from getting more.

Thanks, DocBoy.
Really? The OBS and WVS would be lifers for you? My picture of the Shama is that of an immature. The adult is just black and white.

Thanks, Tina.
Let's go back! It was easy birding when we were there - either from the car or just around the neighborhood of the hotel we were staying in (Palo Alto Bed & Breakfast).

Thanks, Ely, Ramon, and Prof. Tirso. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) We were lucky that we still got these birds despite the rains.

Wow, these are really up close shots of the IBK! I like the 5th photo the best because of the angle.
Congrats on the lifer, Prof!

Pardon the late post. My wife and I visited Puerto Princesa for the first time last June 25-28. It had been raining on and off so we were not able to go to the usual birding places here. Therefore we missed some of our target birds. Nevertheless we still got three lifers (but we got good photos of only one of those). Here are some of our captures from that trip: Olive-backed Sunbird (aurorae subspecies) 5DMkII, 300mm+1.4X, ISO-400, 1/250, f5.6 handheld ![](http://ornithographer.smugmug.com/Other/For-Sharing/i-CmLRpVW/0/X2/obsbpupr062512IMG0016-X2.jpg) Rufous-tailed Tailorbird ISO-2000, 1/400, f7.1 ![](http://ornithographer.smugmug.com/Other/For-Sharing/i-Hp3nn4z/0/X2/rttbpupr062512IMG0143-X2.jpg) Immature White-vented Shama ISO-800, 1/400, f6.3 ![](http://ornithographer.smugmug.com/Other/For-Sharing/i-PzPfdZ3/0/X2/wvshpupr062523IMG0061-X2.jpg) Black-headed Bulbul (lifer!) ISO-3200, 1/1000 f7.1 ![](http://ornithographer.smugmug.com/Other/For-Sharing/i-jDdpV4b/0/X2/bhbupupr062612IMG0043-X2.jpg) Immature Watercock ISO-2500, 1/1250, f5.6 ![](http://ornithographer.smugmug.com/Other/For-Sharing/i-jXhCgTF/0/X2/wacopupr062712IMG0305-X2.jpg) Brown-throated Sunbird (aka Plain-throated Sunbird) ISO-2000, 1/400, f7.1 ![](http://ornithographer.smugmug.com/Other/For-Sharing/i-rPkNt6C/0/X2/ptsbpupr062812IMG0008-X2.jpg) Thanks for viewing.

The planets must be aligning when both Mastah Romy and Ding posted here in pbpf almost at the same time. ;D Count me in when you have your pili nut party. We usually go birding around your neighborhood anyway, so just say when. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Welcome aboard, Onnie!
Dumaguete is a nice place for bird photography. You have places like Forest Camp and Lake Balinsasayao where there are plenty of birds!

Excellent harvest, Prof. Tirso! And congratulations of your anniversary!
Coron is indeed a bird photographer's paradise! We had more than 20 lifers in a couple of day's stay there in 2010. Thanks to Erwin's keen eyes and ears. We plan to return this October.

WOW! ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) I'm sure this is the first photographic documentation of this behavior among Buttonquails! Great job, Prof. Tirso! So who won? ;D (Aaargh, to think that we planned to go Los Banos but changed our minds the last minute. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) )

Lessons learned. ;D But you did best with what you have. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Now you have to tell me where this is because the Reef Egret would be a lifer for me.

Super gorgeous shots! I particularly love the Blue-naped Parrot!
I too, sometimes, use my "Cynthia-tripod". And vice-versa, too. ;D
