Excellent detail, lovely light, sweet background and very pleasing composition on this portrait, which deserves a place on the pages of NatGeo .
Congrats Sylvia and Tonji on bringing home world-class avian images from this amazing place!

Congratulations Sylvia. I thought all the postings were that of Tonji and was still waiting for yours. I think these Boobies are the ones who can dive from the sky down several meters into the sea to get their fish. Well done & Mabuhay.

That shot is among the very best I've ever seen of this bird, and perhaps the very best combination of composition, exposure, and over-all impact featuring the Brown Boobies in the wild. Big congrats! :-)

Thank you so much Romy for Bird Photo of the Week! This makes the trip and my efforts all that much more memorable! I could not help but remember the PBPF gang while taking the pictures, and I think it helped! I would hear things like "get a clean background!" in my mind while I was shooting! Nilo, the other Brown Booby pics are in our smugmug tonjiandsylviasbirdlist.smugmug.com/List/Boobies/BB/17030603_9dhNHb#1289392122_Sdxk3HT
