Fellow birdnuts! Just want to share pics of a Coleto and a pair of Greater Flamebacks from a sortie in Subic recently. Interestingly, the female Greater Flameback was attacking her own reflection while the male was just lazying about, pecking at the nearby tree. For a narrative of this interesting display, please visit our blog here: www.birdingphilippines.com/2011/04/18/object-of-agression/ColetoCanon 350D, 420mm, F8, ISO 400, 1/2000 Greater Flameback (female)Canon 350D, 420mm, F5.6, ISO 400, 1/200 Greater Flameback (male)Canon 350D, 420mm, F5.6, ISO 400, 1/200 Thanks for viewing!

It's good to see more of the white portions of the Coleto... The flameback behavior is an interesting capture Adri. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely set, Adri! Interesting to see a woodpecker, especially a flameback, away from a tree. Great capture!
