Last month while I was driving back to my office. When I saw a herd of deer feeding at a distance. Unfortunately by the time I stopped my vehicle and pulled out my camera. The noise of my boots breaking the crusty surface of the snow must have been very loud. Because they all scattered away and left me with a bunch of butt shots. I've decided to come back the next day, this time I parked my car away from the road and hike under the cover of the trees. I only got a few shots because it was -24°C and my fingers were getting numb and I was having trouble pressing the shutter buttons.

I wasn't paying much attention. When this guy showed up looking for a meal of vole. I would guess it's a coyote.

Last Saturday, my nephew from Calgary sent me a link to the annual Eagles spring count. I was very apprehensive to go because there were snowstorm advisory. But we decided to ignore the warning and made plans anyways. As it turned out we got lucky. The weather system was further east than predicted. We did not see any eagles but we met a guy doing the count and aught us a few lessons on the area. We vowed to return before the count is over.
