Dear folks, CMPI just relayed to us an invitation to a sports shooting seminar/contest. Let me post the email and flyer below: Dear Mr. Ocon,
Greetings from Canon Marketing Philippines. We would like to invite you as well as members of PBPF for the Canon Sports and Press Photography contest and seminar. Please see invite for the details. Submissions should be sent at 5x7.5 inches @ 150 dpi. We will request the participants to bring the high-res versions of the pictures on the date of the event. Please let me know if you have queries regarding the said event. We hope for your support for this activity. Thank you.

I was able to attend the first talk and it is very illuminating in terms of cropping, composition and storytelling. I encourage everyone to attend his talk. His critiques are quite invaluable.

I went to Canon this afternoon and met Toni Cuesta....
He said that the seminar is moved on SUNDAY, not tomorrow Saturday. Same time and place.

Greetings. I would like to inform you that we will be moving the seminar to Sunday, September 5, instead of Saturday. Same time. The deadline for the entries on the other hand will be moved to September 4, 2010. Hope you can submit your entries already. =)
Resending instructions: Send any 2 News or Sports themed pictures and get a chance to have your photos reviewed by a World-class Photojournalist. Submitted pictures shall be showcased during the Seminar to be held on September 5, 2010, 3pm, at the Canon Concept Store (D-Center), Cyberzone, Megamall. Submissions should be sent at 5x7.5 inches @ 150 dpi. Please bring the high-res versions of your pictures on the date of the event. Top 3 photos shall win Limited Edition Canon Lens Mugs. A "No show, No prize" policy shall be enforced. Send your photos and inquiries to antonni_cuesta@canon.com.ph.
