This is one of my favorite catch in Bislig. The color of this bird is just so stunning, I think it's the only bird that has this color in that place. It has become one of our favorite targets and would always look for the "orange bird" when the mixed feeding flocks come by. Rufous Paradise-flycatcher (Terpsiphone cinnamomea), PICOP Bislig City, 8/28/2010 EOS7D + EF500, f5.6, 1/400, ISO 400, Manual Exposure, Handheld

This is one of the primary targets. We were hoping to get the Celestial Monarch but it didn't showed up, fortunately its cousin showed up to take its place. Short-crested Monarch (Hypothymis helenae), Bislig City, 8/29/10 EOS7D + EF500, f5.6, 1/500, ISO 800, Manual Exposure, Handheld

Apparently I was also fortunate enough to capture the Pygmies too. Had a hard time trying to ID these Babblers because they look very similar to the Brown Tit Babbler. Anyway, it's the eyes that was the key to the ID as mentioned by Ivan. The Pygmies has an orangy coloration in their eyes. Mindanao Pygmy-babbler (Sterrhoptilus plateni), Bislig City, 8/29/2010 EOS 7D, EF500mm, f5.6, 1/400, ISO 800, Manual Exposure, Handheld
