This morning, I saw a young grasshopper nestled in a gumamela (hibiscus) bloom, and I couldn't resist taking some snapshots. It stayed awhile, so I experimented with many vantage points, choosing this one to process and post. Tough to expose the pink flower, and I decided to just let the red channel get hot while keeping the green and blue channel under control. 7D + 100 2.8 USM macro, f/7.1, 1/400 sec, ISO 800, hand held, manual exposure in available light, spot AI servo, full frame resized to 1200x800.

Very nice. Looks so innocent but for sure it has a natural agenda. Thanks for sharing Ka Mastah.

Love how the pink colors of the flower make the grasshoper pop. Great macro work as usual, Ka Mastah.
