Sylvia and I are thinking of taking some bird pics in the Kitanglad area next week.
Our plan is to go to stay in the Binahon farm, take pics in the area then go back to the farm to clean up, eat and sleep.
We are not planning to go all the way up Kitanglad this time around. Just planning to photograph around the area, maybe a three hour radius.
We have tried the DelMonte lodge but that might be too difficult if we are going to bring all our camera gear. Maybe we can do that again when the weather is better.
Has anyone in the group done this? Any tips for us?

Hi Tonj, If you are in the Malaybalay area, get in touch with the DENR there and ask if you can go to the place of Mr. Ben Maputi. I think Ben is with the DENR, too. The way to his place guarantees lots of birds, in his place, of course.
We stay at a hotel in Malaybalay and goes back there, too. Mr. Ben also has accomodations in his farm, I think. His place is not in the Mt. Kitanglad Range.

Telyds thanks for the heads up. I think we will go to kitanglad in July. I hope to visit the area more since we have not photographed many Mindanao birds. I will keep your suggestion in mind.
