I was browsing through my early captures, and these shots caught my eye. I believe I haven't posted this yet. CANDABA WETLANDS IN 2004. This pano is a composite of 3 shots and it shows how my favorite wetlands look on July 13, 2004. This was my first trip to the place and I've made countless visits since then. Note that the Eucalyptus trees were just saplings then and the Great Wall was still years away from erection. Shooting info - 300D + Bigma, 50 mm, 1/400 sec, f/8, ISO 100, manual exposure, jpeg capture.

Thanks, Den and Edu! wow.. am now looking for birdnuts in camo in the pic Hehe, no birdnuts in camou in the photo because there were so few of us back in 2004. In fact, I can remember Nilo A. as the only other local birdshooter that I met then.

ah.. the name Nilo A. Just this week, I was talking to another IT pro and his name came up..
This pre "great wall" photo is absolutely stunning sir. I hope and pray the swamp can get back to its former splendor.

In fact, I can remember Nilo A. as the only other local birdshooter that I met then. That is one beautiful panoramic view of our favorite wetlands Mastah Romy. Incidentally, 2004 was also the first time I went to this place. I don't remember the young Eucalyptus trees but what was remarkable to me at that time were the thousands of ducks and other migrants just at the back of the Mayor's house. They were quite near, nowhere as near their locations in the last few years. I wasn't shooting birds yet at that time, just went birdwatching with Val, we just joined the WBCP back then.
