Good news, folks. Our friends at Canon Philippines have finally been able to come up with the Part II of the Canon-PBP Lens Program. This will allow cheaper access to renowned Canon long glass to qualified members of PBPF.

Who qualifies for the program?
- A registered PBPF member
- With a minimum of twenty five (25) posts upon ordering (to prevent abuse by people who'll join PBPF just to avail of the special pricing)
How to order:
- Any qualified PBPF member who wishes to avail himself/herself of this program should send an email to yours truly (romyocon@yahoo.com) with the title "Request for Endorsement - Canon Lens Program" and with the following information: full name, PBPF forum handle, address, contact numbers, email address, model of lens to be purchased, and preferred mode of payment.
- Upon verification that the member is qualified, I'll email back an endorsement copy furnished CMPI.
- The member can then start dealing as an individual buyer with Canon as far as order confirmation and payment are concerned.
Any PBPF member may post inquiries or comments in this thread.
IMPORTANT NOTE
PBPF and/or its administrator is embarking on this program as a free service to PBPF members. PBPF/Romy Ocon has no financial or material gain from any sale under the said program. The role of PBPF is only to establish the qualification of an individual for the special pricing. After such endorsement, the buyer-seller transaction will be exclusively between the said member and CMPI, respectively.

In an email I received on the above date, CMPI further reduced the pricing on some supertelephotos. Listed below are the new low prices:
1. EF 300 f/2.8 L IS - PHP 207,000.00
2. EF 500 f/4.0 L IS - PHP 293,000.00
3. EF 600 f/4.0 L IS - PHP 385,000.00
4. EF 800 f/5.6 L IS - PHP 495,000.00
All the above are good up to May 10, 2010 only. Special pricing on the Canon 1D Mark IV is also available for qualified PBPF members upon request.

Are we qualified to be CPS member when purchasing super telephoto lens ?
. but its so expensive 
...maybe sometimes i can afford to buy a one....how i wish
