I had nothing much to do during the week, so I thought I'd modify a toy I found at a department store to help counter a problem I have in getting close to the birds in Olango Bird Sanctuary. I came up with this Remote-controlled platform with a swivel head. Theoretically, I should be able to maneuver this contraption quite near the birds and just swivel the camera or position the whole body for the shot I want. Live TTL visual feedback is supplied via the "HERO" Live-view attachment, as well as sound and remote shutter triggering: Now, who's planning to go to Olango? :-)

Thanks guys! I sure hope this thing works as well in the field as during my trials at the village. :-)
Heheheh, there's a coming long week-end - maybe Osawa will be game enough to go back there again! Hahaha.

Wow!! talking of "getting the shot", this is one contraption that will surely get it, once you perfect your technique.
