I think it's time to re-start our contest threads as there are now more active members.
Generally, each contest/challenge will run for no more than 5 days. 2 more days will be allotted for voting (Sturday and Sunday), and voting may begin right after the maximum number of challengers are reached. The winning photo will then be posted in a special page, solely dedicated to our very best shots - the winners, of course.
Contest rules will be posted per challenge and there will be three running challenges each week for three weeks. The last week of the month will be the King Birdnut of the Month Challenge Week. Same rules will apply, but only the Weekly winners can join.
You can join in only 2 out of the three running challenges.
You must vote in any challenge you are not playing in.
Each challenge will start on Monday, with a maximum number of entrants to be decided later.
Categories will be:
1. Birds , Bugs, and Butterflies
2. Twilight Shots / Any Wildlife Shot
3. Human Interest, Still Life or Open
If the votes are positive, we can start the challenges by January 2010. :-)
Great idea. I may not be qualified to join (but I can still vote ), but here's a good question: Should the challenge limit the photos taken within the period, or any stock photos can be entered? Or will it depend on the rule for that specific week?

Thanks for the encouragement Ka Mastah and Eric. This time around, we'll not be exposing the rules to too many ideas, like what happened last time, and it all became quite unmanageable.
Teddy - Every member can join - if he/she's fast enough to put up the photo. Only the "Monthly King Birdnut Challenge" will involve taking a picture for the current week. All the weekly challenges will take advantage of our stock photos taken within the past year, so anybody who's been active enough can join.
So far we have only 9 voters out of the registered 28 members. This is a very low count and we need at least 15 votes to be sure we have enough participants and voters to get the games going. Please vote if you intend to participate or vote in the challenges.
