This week's motif is DUCKS - please post your photos here of wild ducks captured in natural habitat.
Thanks to Reyno for suggesting this week's motif.
Posting is voluntary, and if your bird pic doesn't fit the week's motif, you can post these as usual in the Bird Photos section. Only mods can open new motif threads, but all members can post and even guests can view the posts. Multiple posts are allowed too.
Let's post shooting info and standardize our presentation (see format of my first post) so viewers will know how the photo was taken:
Common name (scientific name)
Place and date of capture
Shooting detail.

Gee, this should be one of the easier motifs, as most have many shots of Candaba quackers. ;D Let me make the first quack - a couple of endemic quackers doing some complex mathematics ( multiplying ;D)! Philippine Duck ( Anas luzonica), Candaba wetlands, February 21, 2007 20D+ 500 f4 L IS + stacked Canon/Tamron 1.4x TCs, 1000 mm, f/11, bean bag, EXIF intact

Here’s my motif contribution…he he ;D DUCKS – Taken at Candaba Wetlands last January 20, 2008. It was a hair raising experience when the ducks flew past just several feet above our heads when they were about to land. It was like a jet passing by. It brought me to think, what if this 1kg duck hits me when it's traveling at a good 100 km/hr?... 40D + 300 mmL f4 IS + 2x Kenko TC, f8, 1/650 sec, ISO 400, Manual Exposure, Hand Held.

Guys, the Master has lifted the pole higher. He does not do it for himself. He believes you guys can go beyond the standards he has set for himself. The forum is really a great training ground. Now it is not just sharp photos... the compositions are just overwhelmingly astounding. Impressive. te lyds on the sidelines, forever agoo-goo
