Great! I can bring a car if needed, but I wouldn't mind hitching as well. Romy, I'll keep posted on the PM you sent.

Hi TJ, I guess you and Nestor would have to arrange with each other if you wish to come in separate vehicles, or just use one. Since Rey won't stay overnight, I'd presume he'll bring his own ride. I'll ride with my birding buddy Arnold on my trusty Adventure.... might visit Subic's bee-eaters Sunday pm if there's an opportunity. ;D BTW, I proposed that we meet up with our host in Balanga at about 1 pm Saturday, so we have enough time to discuss battle plans with the guides before plunging into the field. I'll post the final time and rendezvous point after Mike L. gets their confirmation.

To the Balanga Marines* (landing party):
*TJ, Rey, Nestor, Sigmonster Tamer and Arnold
Saturday sched is a GO. We'll assemble 11 am at Petron-NLEX, have an early lunch, then hit Balanga at 1 pm.
Birding at Balanga is Saturday PM and Sunday AM. Then we'll go to our Subic studio to play with our bee-eater models. ;D
Note that only the room accommodation is shouldered by Balanga, all other resources c/o the participants. Prepare lots of bottled water, instant noodles, crackers, OZ beer, rum-cola, etc. ;D ;D ;D

Mayor Jost Garcia may also scheduled a TV interview for the first party, siempre sinabi ko you guys are celebrities in your own right Good luck ! I hope the next group would start signing up also. The congressman heard about your plans and is assembling the mayors together to make them aware about the beauty of their province and also the urgent need to conserve what is left. I am very happy and proud that you guys are making a mark in raising awareness through your photos. See you guys soon

Why don't you guys all meet up at Dinalupihan (Just after the marker in the middle. Wait on the right side if you are coming from Subic) nalang so that you can go birding in Subic Saturday morning. Morning is the most fruitful time for birding in Subic if you ask me That way you can go birding both Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon - HehEHehHEheHEHe Just a suggestion from one birdnut to another <---innocent looking bird addict ;D

Actually the best birding areas will depend on where the sun is facing of course I just prefer morning coz for me the birds are more active from sleeping the whole night and they can be found on the trees feasting on the fruits/seeds specially now when there are a lot of fruiting trees

Nestor is right, you guys will be driving all the way to Subic and then shooting and heading to Balanga to shoot again. This might be too much for you BUT if you are not driving then Subic is super easy birding only.
