Hello guys, This is my share of a dragonfly macro. Taken with a Canon Powershot A630, 1/250 sec, f/3.5, ISO 200, hand-held, 100 ft.... errr.... mm away. ;D Very nice, Eric.... great detail and good DOF. P&S cameras are very convenient to use at macros because of the live view and large DOF. One doesn't need to stop down too much (and lose much light in the process) to get the depth of field.

I agree with Romy, and that photo can give a 600mm Canon L lens a good run for the money! :-)

Yup! P&S takes good macros.... but....., only for subjects that can't run away from the photograher. Otherwise, it's a really big challenge to be as stealthy as possible so as not to spook those that can fly. ;D

Brilliant captures, Neon and Tina... to my eyes, they appear to be of the same species?
