Love the top view and the mood (influenced by the lighting) on this one, Rene! I haven't many flyers photos but here is one of a Tricolor Heron taken near San Juan bay in Puerto Rico. As soon as I arrive to my home I will post the aperture and velocity. Canon 30D, Canon 70-200mm 2.8, hand held, raw. Saludos, René

Excellent BIFs, Gil..... but this NS shot easily outshines the other two and is among the best I've seen in flight - tons of detail, great light, nice wing position, eye contact.... the works! Sorry, been busy at work; thus, I will just be snipping here and there. Some BIFs.javascript:add("%20;D") Grin All taken in Palo Alto Baylands. Mostly at ISO320, AWB, 1/1600, f8-9, hand held at 500mm (750 equiv). Female Northern Shoveler

Small birds in flight are hard to catch. Great shot, Gil - with the bugs on death row pa. Excellent timing!

I think it's quite late for this Motif but I've been busy learning how I could get the bird to fly like Master Romy. Finally got this Purple Heron (Ardea purpurea) to fly. Here's an animated BIF Taken last Saturday after several cans of Red Horse - 5 frames, 40D + 300 4.0L + 1.4x Kenko TC, hand held: Cheers, Neon
