Sharing with you my pictures of Birds presented in the 5th Philippine Bird Festival at the Governor's Night on October 9, 2009 in Balanga, Bataan. First came an Oriole... I guessed it's a Black-Naped Oriole Then a Nuthatch... I really don't know what kind however. Third came an Egret. I'm sure it's a Cattle Egret. Then, wow... a Queenfisher, ooops sorry, Kingfisher! Another Egret came, a male one. Finally a Man-Eater, este a Bee-Eater, in natural habitat! Suddenly the Bee-Eater turned around and morphed into a Stilt! Then all the other birds joined together, they volt-in! And whaaalah, it's a Black-Winged Stilt! That's the Festival's bird logo, friends! What a scoop to get these photos! All taken using Canon 50D 90-300mm handheld. Can somebody start a Poll so we can vote for the Best Festival Bird?

Very nice set Alain. Very creative presentation, the volt-in part is quite impressive.

Thanks, Godo! They have those kinds of "birds" too in UP! Try birding there in-between your classes, Prof Jerry, Doc Mando and others will show you where to bird best.
