Pied Fantail.. way back when I had my D60 so pardon the IQ. I just downloaded the original from my flickr, opened it with APS and changed the mode to greyscale. Am posting this in a hurry.. I can just feel there will be a very nice.. very detailed image of a fantail coming real soon..

Sinister-looking, like a horror-film character garbed in a long black coat, nice one Edu!

Nice BW shot, Edu. Hehe, agree with the mastah. It looks as if it's ready to jump on an unsuspecting victim anytime.

now that it has been mentioned, yeah it does look like a villain lurking behind a tree ready to pounce! Even with the noise, I liked this as it clearly shows why it is called a fantail.
Thank you for the nice comments guys.

Nice shot Ed! Looks like its preparing to attack you! One wrong move and you're dead!

Nice shot Ed! Looks like its preparing to attack you! One wrong move and you're dead! I believe so, because this was one of the parents in the nest that I took a picture of. Fantails are known to be very aggressive and I think they have teamwork. One parent sings and dances while another observes the other animals within their "territory"

all those comments about the menacing look made me try out a 'new' PP I saw on the web (from a Mastah).. so I tried it on this image. using the Radial-Zoom Blur Filter
