I went to the National Museum this afternoon and enjoyed myself immensely looking at all the beautiful pictures. I am so inspired by the beauty of the birds and how well the pictures were taken. I would like to go Birding as soon as possible and see if I can come close to having pictures of birds like those that I have seen today. To those who have not seen it, I highly recommend that you see it as the exhibit is only for one month. This is one of our heritage that we can all be proud of as Filipinos. Mabuhay.

Bad news first. I have just talked to a professional art critic. He says there should have been more text material about the exhibit and the artists, the exhibit and the artists matter more on occasions like this ( I think he is saying the birds of the Philippines come next only after them). He says there should have been no display of the bird skins as, per his knowledge, the artists are promoting a "just watch, do not catch" perspective; by displaying the bird skins, the curator ("if there was any") is already intervening in the message of the artists; this is a "big no no" for curators. There are other points he is expressing but I think for our purposes, these are enough. Curating exhibits, as it turns out, is not really a simply matter. Whew!
This is the good news. I have just been told that the Vice-President for Administration of Ocean Park (which is now putting up a 5-star hotel integrated with its present facilities) is very very much interested in our work (as bird photographers). Cheers!
