Mike Lu, WBCP President, has graciously arranged for 10 slots for the PBPF members for an all expense birding trip to Baler, Aurora on 22-24 May, 2009. This is going to involve a whole day bird photography activity as part of the celebration activities for the 400th Anniversary of the Municipality of Baler. On the 23rd, the contingent is going to the Diteki-Baler Watershed where, among other birds, the Philippine dwarf kingfisher and cream-bellied fruit dove have been spotted up close. The following have already signified:
1. Chito Limchiu, 2. Ely Teehankee, and, 3. Rey Sta. Ana.
This means there are 7 more available slots. On a first come first served basis, please list yourselves here if you are interested. The resulting list we are going to submit to Mike.
Cheers!

Hi Prop!
I'm a tentative on this one. My schedule might not allow it, but it would be great to witness the synthesis between PBPF, WBCP, and the UP Mountaineers. Hahay...

Me! Me! Me!
1. Chito Limchiu, 2. Ely Teehankee, and, 3. Rey Sta. Ana. 4. Ding Carpio
Putting my name in but still about 80% sure on account of some things I need to do on the Friday (22nd) which I'm trying to slide. Will transportation be provided? From where? What time do we leave Manila? What are the conditions on the photographs we take? Where do we stay? Do we get to see Anne Curtis? (corny!!!)
Neon, since you feel so bad about missing this trip, I'd be happy to bring your lens as proxy.

This is still an all expense paid birding trip sponsored by the Office of Senator Eduardo Angara and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. The organizers and I are meeting this afternoon at 4:00 p.m. Hopefully, I should be able to announce more details. I just hope we fill in the slots. So far, there are only 7 of us. It is going to be an embarrassment of sorts if not all the slots are filled. The event is going to be covered by both local and international journalists and phtogographers. Cheers!

It is going to be an embarrassment of sorts if not all the slots are filled. Okay, PropJerry, just so that you won't get embarrassed, I can fill the three slots with my wife, son, and daughter. They can come fuly equipped with point-and-shoot digital cameras! ;D

Prop Jerry,
I no longer signed up in your PBPF list as I have already signed up in the WBCP list, so I'm going with you too.
My friend Olan Balbido (Kaakbay) wants to join the trip. He's also WBCP member and into bird photography, but he's in the waiting list. Can I sign him up here? Or can I exchange place with him here and in the other - meaning, I will be under PBPF and Olan under WBCP listing?
Olan will also be bringing photo gears with him in this trip if you can accommodate him.
Thanks!
Alain

NCCA organizers have written me yesterday informing me of their urgent need for a complete list of participants from the Philippine Bird Photography Forum so they can make the necessary reservations. I hope everyone understands that this is an all expense paid trip sponsored by the NCCA and the Office of Senator Eduardo Angara. I plan to submit the names by tomorrow evening. We still have 2 slots to go.
