Spotted a Chinese pond heron in Candaba this morning. Alex Loinaz should have a good photo of it. It stays along the northern edge of the western half the northwest ponds (Mt. Arayat's side) -- behind the mayor's house.

Arne Jensen says there are only about six records here, no photographs I presume, of the Chinese pond heron so far. I am almost certain the one I have spotted is a Chinese pond heron. I recommend one of us gets to go to Candaba this weekend and take its photograph. It is along the northern edge of the western portion of the northern ponds.
