(Note - the video was titled "Red-keeled Flowerpecker" but it turned out that the subject was misidentified; it's actually a Pygmy Flowerpecker. Hence, the title is now corrected.)
I got quite close to this immature individual while it was feeding on a succulent fruit we locally call "mansanitas" (Kerson Fruit or Muntingia calabura).
The total length of this bird (from tip of bill to tip of tail) is less than 8 cm (3 inches). For a sense of scale, the size of the fruit being eaten is just a bit over 1 cm across.
_____
Pygmy Flowerpecker (Dicaeum pygmaeum, a Philippine endemic)
Habitat – Forest, edge and second growth.
Shooting info – extracted from a 3840 x 2160 (4K) footage, filmed in natural habitat at Bued River, Northern Philippines on July 24, 2018, Sony RX10 Mark IV + Uniqball UBH45 + Manfrotto 455B tripod, 600 mm (equiv.), f/5.6, ISO 200, 1/60 sec, manual exposure in available light, manual focus, Steadyshot off.
And the video clip - 4K/29.97p capture processed to 1920 x 800/23.976p (cinematic 2.4:1 aspect ratio).

That Sony RX10 Mk4 is really showing its prowess in your masterful hands Ka Mastah. I bet it's not easy to extract such sharp shots from a video clip, too! Best of both worlds! :-)

Thanks, Godo and Ka Bobby!
I'm eagerly awaiting the availability of the Nikon P1000 - with its 3000 mm/4K capability, filming distant birds will be doable in a light package.

I'm waiting in line with you on that too Ka Mastah! It shoots RAW, unlike the P900, and is well priced too! :-) Maybe I'll wait for your review, hehehe.
