I haven't seen this bird for a while, as it's not as common in La Union as in Candaba and other places. So it was a pleasant surprise to see it at San Juan town this weekend. It's not the most colorful bird in our islands, but light was good so it was kinda tough not to take a shot. Striated Grassbird ( Megalurus palustris) Shooting Info - San Juan, La Union, Philippines, January 24, 2016, EOS 7D MII + EF 400 DO IS II + 1.4x TC III, 560 mm, f/6.3, 1/1600 sec, ISO 320, manual exposure in available light, hand held, major crop resized to 1575 x 1050.

As usual, excellent capture - and that head turn nails the shot ! :-)
