I finally managed to go afield yesterday after a couple of weeks of Christmas activities.
As the sun got low over the South China Sea, I removed my 1.4x TC III to get more light in. This fishing raptor banked right in front of me, allowing me a good view of its underparts.
Brahminy Kite (Haliastur indus)

Another one of the fishing raptor captured yesterday. It actually ate its whole meal in the air.

Amazing shot, Romy! I always wanted to take photos of raptors but I just do not have the oppurtunity to go. Any advise where to shoot near MetroManila? Thanks, Doc! Mt. Palay-palay used to have many BKs, as well as some forest raptors. La Mesa reservoir should have some BKs, ospreys and some other forest raptors, perhaps you can get in touch with Ding Carpio if he still has access to the area.

Wow, those shots are simply jaw-dropping Ka Mastah. Everything from the natural lighting to the BK's eyes' catch-light and feather details simply blows me away!! :-)
