Everytime a picture of the Ashy Thrush at the La Mesa Ecopark is posted, for most cases, it shows the bird on the ground or very close to it. So it was a surprise for me when this particular thrush flew to the branch of a MacArthur Palm and started eating the red fruits! Ashy Thrush ( Geokichla cinerea) La Mesa Ecopark January 27, 2014 Canon 5D Mark III, 500mm+1.4X (700mm) tripod ISO-3200, f7.1, 1/125, manual exposure, spot metering (it was just after sunrise and the place was still relatively dark)

Hi Bob! It doesn't look like early morning in the picture! But I like how the shot came out. Great colors and the fruit in the beak puts the shot over the top!
