I took a chance to go out in spite of the bad weather outside hoping to get another chance to photograph a Keel-billed Toucan. I wasn't disappointed and got two toucan species by the roadside going to my intended destination. EOS7D, 400mm f/5.6L lens, 1/1600s, ISO 400 EOS7D, 400mm f/5.6L lens, 1/1600s, ISO 400 And here's the Chesnut Mandibled Toucan ISO 800, 1/1000s

That is what makes Costa Rica a birders paradise. Is this the same place that you brought me to? Very nice, it is as if the birds have a smile on their face. Well done Ariel & Mabuhay.

Nice toucan photos. I have to agree that Costa Rica is a birder's paradise. I hope that I too can visit Costa Rica for some serious birding.

I went to Arenal Observatory Lodge last weekend but the place looks empty as there was not much people around. Even birds weren't around . Perhaps because it is the height of the rainy season. These pictures were taken along the roadside somewhere in San Ramon, about 45mins from Arenal Observatory Lodge.
