HehEHehHEHehEHeEHe Mando Apparently, Grass owls are very curious birds. I honestly don't know what they are attracted to but almost every single owl that passed me always turned back as if it wanted to look at something again. Maybe it's the clicking sound of the camera but they sure are curious birds. That's the reason why they all seem to be looking at you at the right moment - they actually ARE looking In fact, when they turn back, they get so near that you won't be able to take a full shot of them when they are above you coz it's as if they are right above your head already. The photo below is an example of a shot taken that was wasted because the owl was way too near. I have a lot of shots like these - close encounters of the OWL kind ;D

I wonder if there may be a nest somewhere nearby. That could be one reason for the behavior. What an encounter! I envy you.

Thanks Chito Ding: Will send you PM after I post this. Mela : I've been observing where the owls go after flying around back and forth and it's a far way off from where I always park my car. Romy mentioned that the grass owl in Candaba have the same behavior. I guess they really are just curious birds.
