The locals have told me about the Flame-Breasted Fruit-Doves, but I have yet to see one. That would be exciting to see one, but I understand they are pretty far up the mountain.

The new birding area is not located in the closed area of Mt. Banahaw. A few locals have been farming there for generations, and the area is just before the start of the mossy forest.
