Last Saturday Cynthia, myself along with DocBoyMac, Toto, Tonji and Sylvia, Tina and Wency went to Subic. We had fun birding and here are some of the results: Guaiabero Canon 5D MkII, 500+1.4X (700mm), ISO-500, 1/500 f8, manual exposure, tripod and gimbal White-eared Brown Dove Canon 40D, 300+1.4X (420mm), handheld, ISO-1600, 1/400, f7.1 male Whiskered Treeswift Canon 5D MkII, 500+1.4X (700mm) ISO-500, 1/5000, f5.6 Blue-throated Bee-eater Canon 5D MkII, 500+1.4X (700mm) ISO-500, 1/4000, f5.6 female Luzon Hornbill Canon 5D MKII, 500+1.4X (700mm) ISO-100, 1/160, f5.6 male Luzon Hornbill Canon 40D, 300+1.4X (420mm) ISO-800, 1/500, f8

I have yet to see the Whiskered Treeswift. The mask is so beautifully designed. Well done Bob & Mabuhay.

Now Rufous-crowned Bee-eater ( Merops americanus).

Great shots esp 2 & 3. I'm staying not far from Subic in December (Castilijos ... not sure of the spelling) and am hoping to get my lens on some of the birds to be found there and in other places during my 3 week stay.
