Here are some more lifers that I got from yesterday's trip to Dr. Alexander Skutch's house. The house itself is now a museum and was declared as a protected area and bird sanctuary by the Costa Rican government. I'm glad I took a chance to travel here inspite of the heavy rains nowadays in the whole Central America. Male Orange-collared Manakin: 400mm, 1/200s, ISO 800, Another shot showing the side of the body Here's the female: 1/160s The most colorful of them all is this Bay-headed Tanager. Too bad I wasn't able to come closer. I think this one has more than seven colors and deserves to be called "multicolores" 1/400s, ISO 800 This is the closest I could get...

The Manakin is very nice but the Bay-headed Tanager is even nicer. What a beautiful bird. Have you ever seen it anywhere else? What a lovely bird paradise you have there. Well done Ariel & Mabuhay.
