I had an opportunity to travel last year to Siem Reap, Kingdom of Cambodia. There's this bird that I was able to photograph. I wasn't into serious birding then. I just thought of sharing it for identification. My initial ID is that it's a common myna. I took it using Nikon D5000 with a Nikkor 70-300mm G, handheld. It's kinda crappy. It certainly looks like a Common Myna, though as you say the colours are a little difficult to discern. In Siem Riep (and other cities in the region) White-vented Myna also occur, and they are worth looking out for.
