Hello friends, Below are photos of an interesting bird I encountered in Mt. Polis recently. The active habit and skulking nature of this ground warbler can put your bird photography to a good workout, in my opinion Thanks for viewing.Long-tailed Bush-warbler [Bradypterus caudatus]Canon 40D + 300mm f/2.8, at f/2.8, 1/125Sec, ISO-800, Hand-heldLong-tailed Bush-warbler [Bradypterus caudatus]Canon 40D + 300mm f/2.8, at f/2.8, 1/125Sec, ISO-800, Hand-held

I like the way you describe photographing the warbler. It is really a good workout in photographing this kind of bird. They are skulkers, skittish, and frisky. Extremely difficult to photograph. Well done Nilo & Mabuhay.

This species is extremely difficult to capture with eyeballs, let alone a camera! Congratulations! Now who is going to be the first to get a photo of its cousin, Benguet Bush Warbler?

Congratulation Nilo. You must have applied your superb skill in stalking. Fast focusing lens by the way.

Hat's off to you, Nilo, for these shots. All excellent notwithstanding the adverse lighting conditions plus the skulking habits of the bird. Great job!

Thanks for the comments guys. I guess these photos are my lucky shots made possible by equally good and fanatic birding companions...

Congratulation Nilo. You must have applied your superb skill in stalking. Fast focusing lens by the way. Thanks much Doc Boy... I love the "baby with big eyes" in dark, close quarter shooting scenario...

Thanks Ivan. Maybe its the time of the year... or pure luck to be given a short window to capture the images... Hope we can document more of the difficult birds this year...
