Finally I was able to get a video and sound of the Brown Shrike while it was resting, only during the hottest time of day that it relaxes and start to whistle. I've been wanting to record this for the longest time as it fooled me several times thinking it was a different bird that produced the sound even if I saw a brown shrike that flew away from the spot where the sound was emanating. Only the on board mic of the 5DM2 was used, the audio was enhanced using Soundbooth. The people chatter and other noise were tagged and cleaned.

WOW! And it's beak didn't even move! It is using birdcalls to attract prey?
I know I have a video of a long tailed shrike singing like this also. I will need to dig.
Great video sir and that soundbooth thing, I must learn that.
