Hehe.... the nestling is already very excited about tomorrow's BIF sortie at Candaba. His vest, camera, lens, batteries, CF cards, chocolate bars, and juice drink are all packed and ready. I've promised him an incentive for every photo-lifer that he can capture which is of "postable" quality. He has already identified a minimum of 10 target lifebirds from my Candaba galleries, and summed up the total incentives accordingly (he's counting the chicks even before these are hatched). ;D 1. Little Egret 2. Great Egret 3. Cattle Egret 4. Zebra Dove 5. Purple Heron 6. BC Night-Heron 7. Striated Grassbird 8. Brown Shrike 9. Pied Bushchat 10. Any wild duck species Here's a couple of his most wanted BIFs.... most wanted because these guys are slow flying and the sky background is not so tough for the 20D's AI servo, virtually two gimmes under the incentive scheme! 1. Black-crowned Night-Heron 2. Purple Heron

Wow, these father and son mentoring is surely a sight to behold. I think I might just drop by Candaba tomorrow to take pictures of the Jedi with his very eager student.

Bumped into Nestor at Candaba this afternoon, while I'm teaching the nestling how to do BIFs. Light was not so good because the wetlands was enveloped in smoke, probably from burning rice husk. Pogito had a blast, he was able to get only 7 lifebirds because he got tied up with the BIFs. He got left-arm weary from carrying the 20D + 400 5.6L all afternoon. I think he'll process his pics tomorrow. Here's the nestling aiming at a Purple Heron: ....And strutting in the wetlands with his teeny-weeny artillery piece. ;D
